It was hardly a thriller, though, with Leeds registering just 11 attempts and three on target, while their xG stood at 0.47 against Forest's 0.66.

Farke also handed starts to debutants James Trafford, Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemović, with all three making an impression. Muharemović came close to scoring, Wilson had a goal ruled out for offside, while Trafford made three saves. 

Farke then made six changes for the EFL Cup rematch, handing Nico Elvedi his debut, but the outcome was similar as Leeds secured another win, this time 2-0 through Daniel James and James Justin.

Since last December, only three sides have won more points at home in the league than Leeds (24).

Brentford head into this fixture after a statement London derby win on MD1, dismantling Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 before following it up with a 6-1 EFL Cup thrashing of Birmingham. Goals have certainly been the theme for Keith Andrews' side, who have now scored 20 times across their last four games, including friendlies.

Interestingly, their much-hyped front three of Igor Thiago, Kevin Schade and Dango Ouattara were kept off the scoresheet against Spurs, with Janelt, Lewis-Potter and Kayode taking centre stage instead. Mamadou Sangare also impressed on his debut, providing an assist and dictating the midfield. 

Brentford's dominance was reflected in their 26 attempts and 3.87 xG, their highest in a Premier League game since January 2025. With momentum firmly on their side, the Bees now have a chance to win their opening two league games for the first time since 2006-07.
